Join Us. If you are not already a member find out how you can become one.

Gain a qualification to start your career in logistics and transport. Or supplement your industry knowledge and skills by focusing on Continuous Professional Development. Learn with us through our training programmes & qualifications.

Use us to find a new job. Many fellow members have used the Institute’s network and database to develop their careers. Vacancies and job adverts are made available by the Institute on the individual country websites. Networking and joining up with other members enables you to explore career options and to be ready for that opportunity when it arises.

Volunteer to help in your local Institute. There are a variety of ways you can get directly involved in our members activities. Look out for special interest groups or regional chapters. Be prepared to share your experiences and knowledge and you will gain much in return. We need committed and energetic volunteers prepared to take the lead in our Young Professional  and Women in Logistics and Transport groups or participate on our Councils, committees and best practice groups. Set up an Institute branch in a country or territory where we haven’t one. If you are interested in setting up a branch in your country find out more by contacting our International Secretary General.

Young Professionals (YPs) are the future of our industry. Through our YP network we aim to allow our younger members to engage fully with our membership, access our experience and seek out advice from a wide array of perspectives.

However, we must not just ask ourselves what we can teach our younger members, but what we can learn from them. Engagement with social media and other platforms, as well as technology in general is critical to anyone working within our industry. We must look to harness these emerging skillsets to ensure we remain effective and relevant in a changing world.

In his inaugural speech International President Kevin Byrne called for the Institute to realise the value and potential of our Young Professional groups:

By linking your organisation with AICTL you have access for many services and events that will benefit your employees regardless of their individual member status.

Our corporate programmes differ between countries. Corporate packages usually allow you to nominate representatives from within your organisation to be registered as participants of AICTL events. Nominating key personnel is a cost-effective and useful way of introducing employees to the benefits of the AICTL network and is an excellent way to give an overview to senior managers in related specialisms such as Human Resources, Marketing and Finance.
